The Rite of Christian initiation is designed for Adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts.  If you or an adult (18 and older) you know is interested in becoming a Catholic, contact Cecilia Ladda, cladda@eseton.org or 972-596-5505, Ext. 4247.  RCIA for adults begins in August.

"Joined to the Church, the catechumens are now part of the household of Christ, since the Church nourishes them with work of God and sustains them by means of  litugical celebration." (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults document)

Are you or someone you know interested in being initiated as a Roman Catholic?  Please contact Cecilia Ladda at cladda@eseton.org or 972-596-5505 ext. 4247.

It is important to do this as soon as possible, especially if:

  1. You/they are married to a Catholic and have not been married in the Catholic form, which requires marriage in the presence of a Catholic priest or deacon and two witnesses

    and/or

  2. You/they are married and one or both of the spouses need an annulment from a previous marriage or marriages.  The annulment process may take from twelve months to 2 years or more.  It is important to begin this preliminary work on annulments and convalidations as soon as possible.    .
