FAMILIES OF NAZARETH:
Communion of Life with Christ through Mary

You are invited to a 9-week series: Let us Pray beginning: September 3, 2008

Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in Room 6 of the Parish Activity Center

Imagine…that the more smothered I am with activities, the more time I should dedicate to prayer.  Imagine...that a state of dryness or lack of emotion in prayer may actually be better prayer.  Imagine…remembering God’s presence not only when I pray, but also in the ordinary moments of my life. Imagine…finding true happiness by saying to God; “Your will be done.”  COME to the LET US PRAY series and learn how to make prayer a part of your life.

“Faith is the acknowledgement of one’s own helplessness and the awaiting of everything from God.  This experience of helplessness and the awaiting of everything from God are par excellence what ‘humble means.’  Do you see the value of humble means in your life?", The Gift of Faith, p. 136.  Come and discover a spirituality of God’s merciful Love – a time for personal growth.

This group presents a spirituality for our time which enables participants to look at the events they experience through the eyes of faith.  Participants see more clearly God’s presence and loving action in every moment. The Families of Nazareth Movement is for everyone -- married, single, widowed, parents, grandparents, students, and religious.

For more information contact Jane, 496-734-9908 or liangmbox@yahoo.com .

"The presence of Christ in the Word of God will overwhelm your interior life and your prayer. Listening intently to the Word of God will cause you to meditate on words, which shall be engraved deeply into yur heart."  The Gift of Faith by Father Tadeusz Dajczer.

Parables of the Kingdom

Wednesday Mornings
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Room 9 of the Parish Activity Center

The Parables will be the new topic  for the Wednesday Morning Scripture Study this fall.  Some of the most memorable teachings of Jesus were delivered as parables and are found in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

The first 6 weeks this study explores those parables crafted by Mark, and then turns attention to the same parables as they appear in Matthew with a slightly different twist.

The second 6 weeks this study focuses on the parables unique to Matthew, and those developed by Luke.

The parables offer a glimpse into the kingdom of God and invite us to think in new and fresh ways.  Come join us as we learn from this Little Rock study series. New members are welcome at any time.

The new class will start Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in room 9 of the Activity Center next to the church building. All materials will be available for purchase at the first class.

For more Information call Mary Ellen at 972-403-7334 or Vivian at 972-378-0091.
