It is the function of the Worship Commission, through its various ministries, to create an environment that promotes, enhances, and facilitates participation in the Liturgical Life of the Body of Christ, following the spirit of the Catholic Tradition.  At the same time we recognize that the diversity of taste, age, and culture within our community adds to the richness of our oneness in Worship.

ALTAR GUILD Eileen Divita
These people show respect to Christ and the Liturgy by maintaining the altar, linens, vestments, etc. with responsible, dependable service. 

ALTAR SERVERS Diane Martinez and Laci Eimer 
Young boys and girls of the Parish who serve by assisting the priest at the altar during Sunday Eucharistic Liturgy and for special liturgical celebrations.  

ART AND ENVIRONMENT Carolyn Simoneaux  972-618-2928
Dedicated people who enhance the environment of the church for each Liturgical Season and special feast days, such as Advent, Christmas, Ordinary Time, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Christ the King and Thanksgiving. 

CHILDREN'S LITURGIES Denise Gilbert
Parents who help with the planning of liturgies specifically geared toward children in preschool through 5th grade. Their goal is to have a Eucharistic Liturgy that the whole family can fully participate in, understand and enjoy.  

CHOIRS/MUSIC Lisa Kellen
Ministry members raise their voices and instruments in prayer and praise to enhance the liturgy, by assisting and encouraging the participation of the community at Sunday Liturgy, and special liturgical occasions throughout the year. For more information  visit the Music Ministry page  /Ministries/LiturgicalMinistries/MusicMinistry/tabid/249/Default.aspx

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS Sandy Avery at 972-896-0471 and Gary Ruppert for scheduling ( at 972-578-0980)
Lay ministers distribute the Eucharist to the parishioners at all the liturgies and to the sick and elderly of our parish. If you are 1) a registered parishioner, 2) a practicing Roman Catholic, 3) willing to commit to at least a one- year assignment, you may wish to apply to become a Eucharistic Minister. Training is provided.

HOME VISITATION Pat LaRose and Carol Hayes
Caring parishioners who visit the sick in the hospital and the ill or elderly who are homebound bringing the Eucharist to and praying with those unable to get to church. 

HOSPITAL VISITATIONS Ray and Mary Ellen Baert
Hospital Visitation - Please contact the Parish Office at 972-596-5505 if you or a loved one is in the hospital and would like a pastoral visit.  Due to federal law, the hospital can no longer disclose to us if our parishioners are hospitalized.

LECTORS Don Simoneaux  972-618-2928 
Serve the people of God by proclaiming the Word at Sunday Liturgy and for special liturgical occasions throughout the year.  

NURSING HOME VISITATION Louise Norton
Dedicated people who assist the priest with liturgy on Thursdays at Heritage Manor, a Communion Service on Sundays and bring the Eucharist on two other days during the week. They also visit the patients on a regular basis. 

USHERS Len Cook 
Men and women who serve our community in a hospitality capacity before, during and following Liturgy on Sundays, Holy Days and on certain other special occasions.

YOUTH LITURGIES  Jessica Volcansek

Taize Prayer Service

We will begin holding the Taize Prayer Service on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the church.

 

Hospital Ministry

Hospital Ministry is in need of caring parishioners to visit the sick in the hospital bringing the Eucharist to them and praying with them. Time commitment will vary.  If you would like more information about this minister please call Ray and Mary Ellen Baert at 214-289-9034.

 

The Altar Guild

The ALTAR GUILD needs help caring for the items used in our worship liturgies.  Candle stands need cleaning and shining once a week; linens need washing or ironing, rotating every 5 weeks.  Priests' albs need washing and ironing when necessary.  Votive candles need filling at Sunday masses.  JOIN over 50 men and women assisting the liturgy with simple tasks.
