The Friends of the Bereaved

ministry is a compassionate giving group who give comfort and support to grieving families by lovingly providing a beautiful reception after funeral and memorial services. They also host a reception help each year after the All Souls Day Mass for all families who have lost a loved one.

The organization is divided into 3 teams:

Room Set up / Take down team
This team prepares the scene for the event by setting tables, lighting candles, arranging memorabilia prior to the event, and cleaning up the room after each event.

Food Volunteers
This team provides salads and desserts prepared at home and delivers to church prior to reception.

Servers
The server team helps to plate and arrange food, prepare and serve beverages, and wash dishes. They often interact with families and loved ones offering respectful encouragement through their service.

The member level of commitment is flexible. One can participate in any or all teams based on availability.
