"On a Sunday fifteen years ago, I was moved to attend Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton after being away for too many years. I was needing something that I could only get from God -- His love and mercy." Read how Ricardo found love and acceptance through two programs - Initiation (RCIC) for his daughter and Re-Membering Church for him (Note: Re-membering Church is now Catholic Once and Again) and how God continues to work miracles in his life."
"In 2005, I became a member of SEAS and attended church almost every Sunday with my husband and son, but was not really involved in the parish. Then one Sunday in 2011, as I flipped through the bulletin at church I saw the announcement about the women’s ACTS retreat...Upon my return from the weekend, I felt energized to find other ministries that the Lord was calling me to use my talents." Since our last workday on March 18th, all the shelving in the closets and cupboards and the trim/molding around the perimeter of the interior doors and some of the baseboard molding has been installed. The work on the 25th was to prepare the duplex for interior painting, which included lots of caulking and cleaning the floors.
The primary work on the 18th consisted of painting areas that needed a second coat of white paint on the trim and painting some of the exterior doors. In addition, the volunteers started to install shelving in the closets, and putting up trim/molding around the perimeter of the interior doors.
This progress includes: spraying foam insulation on the interior of the exterior walls and the inside of the roof, applying the first coat of paint on the siding and soffits, and sheetrocking the inside walls and preparing them for painting. The primary work on the 4th consisted of applying the first coat of paint on some of the siding and applying a second coat of paint on all the siding and soffits.
