"There are several verses in the Bible that I truly love and inspire me.  They are:  Matthew 25:40 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me' and Joshua 24:15' as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord'." These verses, along with Denny's upbringing have made him a champion for the poor and downtrodden. Jewel grew up in large, devout family in a Mennonite farming community in Delaware. In college she met Denny who had been raised Catholic. "I went through the first RCIA process in a Catholic church in Pittsburgh several years before we married.  I had never been exposed much to Catholicism but found the RCIA process an awesome program and it was what mainly  convinced me to become a Catholic."
