During these days of isolation, we are reaching out to the faithful of the Diocese of Dallas in ways that respect the government orders of “distancing“ so that together we can minimize the damage caused by the Coronavirus. As your Shepherd, I am working with the priests, deacons and ministers in the Diocese of Dallas, to keep you spiritually nourished and your faith strong. I invite you to visit our website at www.cathdal.org to find numerous resources for prayer, Scripture, reflections and liturgy
The current circumstances and problems associated with the Corona Virus are difficult. We are still moving through the quiet time of Lent as we approach the festival of Easter. We are challenged to walk with the silent and suffering Christ, and to hope in the healing and promises that only the Lord can give us.

Now more than ever, it is critical that we turn to the Lord with prayer, fasting and almsgiving during this Lenten season. Please use this extra time and opportunity to reflect, pray and study.

by Most Reverend Edward J. Burns, Bishop of Dallas
The leaders of our communities have sounded the alarm and now this shepherd is going to protect his flock. Effective immediately, the Catholic Diocese of Dallas will suspend all public masses until March 30, 2020. Our churches will remain open during the day for private prayer and Eucharistic adoration, but all Sunday masses and weekday masses are cancelled.
In consideration for your health, and the public good, we will be suspending immediately public receptions involving food service, until after this coming Easter Sunday. This means we will not have Lenten Soup Suppers, Funeral Receptions, Parish Breakfasts, or Donut Sundays. Do not come to church sick; no holding hands; no Sign of Peace. READ MORE...
