April 9, 1953 – December 15, 2020
Sheila was born in Gainesville, Texas, to Clarence Graham and Elsie Marie Luttmer. She attended business school in Fort Worth, but left early to help back at home in Gainesville, where she soon met her love, her husband, Alladin Hussein. They married and eventually moved to Michigan, Oklahoma, and all over Texas in their various hospitality ventures. She loved being second mommy to her nephews, Salman and Saleem, and niece, Shelly. In 1983, their daughter, Shellena, arrived, and that was then Sheila’s main focus for the rest of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her twin brother Kenneth, brothers Denny and Ronnie, and sisters Brenda and Charlene.
Some favorite memories:
She often enjoyed falling to sleep in the middle of a story you were telling. But it was okay – she was just “resting her eyes.”
Even though she had amazing hearing aids, she often responded, “What?” out of sheer habit and to the annoyance of her audience.
She wrote the most amazing personal touches in her notes. Made us all cry every time, even if we knew what to expect.
She was the best decorator. So much so that a stranger wrote her a heartful note saying that the holidays were always so hard for, and that my mom’s decorations were the only thing that made this person happy and hopeful.
The dogs will wonder why they are now getting seven baby wienies instead of six.
Sheila will be laid to rest on January 29th. The Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00pm. Internment will be in the Seton Columbarium after the Mass. The Mass will be livestreamed at https://youtu.be/jkB7ZOwGdj0

David Eugene Losey
July 07, 1947 - January 13, 2021
David Eugene Losey was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on July 7, 1947. (Same day as Roswell Crash). He was the only child of Robert Calvin Losey and Grace Kettner. (Yes, he was special). He lived in Milwaukee, when it was one of the largest industrialized cities in the United States. He would spend summers on his grandfather’s farm in Hustiford, Wisconsin. Both cities had a large German population and a great work ethic. He spoke some German when he was young and always remembered the names of the farm animals.
He attended Polaski High School and graduated in 1966. He attended Milwaukee Institute of Technology and University of Wisconsin at Platteville. He liked the accounting and the business courses.
David married Joyce Drow and had two sons, James and Sean. Joyce was a flight attendant for Braniff. That is how he arrived in Dallas. He moved back to Milwaukee, for a short time, but the opportunity to earn a good living was greater in Dallas. David went to work for Smith Corona Marchant selling copiers. He was successful in sales and decided to try selling real estate.
He was then hired by Fox and Jacobs Home Builders. David honed many great building and selling skills while there and made many great friends. He enjoyed many cruises with his friends that they had won for outstanding performance in sales. David never left real estate and continued to work for other firms; such as, Woodhaven Homes. He eventually went to work for Keller Williams Realty, where his new wife, Theresa (Terry) Rioux Losey worked. They formed The Losey Team and worked together for many years and enjoyed meeting clients together.
Theresa was also, a flight attendant for Delta so they traveled the world. They honeymooned in Australia, went on a safari in South Africa, rode elephants into the water in Bangkok and spent Thanksgiving in Germany to attend the Christmas Markets. Some of their other many stops were Prague, Iceland, Spain, Portugal, Paris, and China.
We truly experienced a beautiful life; full of love, friends and family, adventure and success. The icing on the cake was his beautiful granddaughter, Sara.
David is survived by his wife Theresa (Terry) Losey; sons James and Sean Losey; granddaughter Sara Losey; brother-in-law Stephen Rioux; nieces and nephews Ashley DeValdenebro and her husband Miguel, Loren Gibson, and her husband David, Taylor Hurley-Rioux and her husband Steve DaCosta, Parker Hurley-Rioux, Wyndham Hurley-Rioux and his wife Kelly and Stephen Rioux.

Theresa "Resa" Margaret Raign
March 31, 1963 - January 10, 2021
Theresa "Resa" Margaret Raign was born March 31,1963. Yes, you read that right and it makes her 57. I am not sure she would have wanted me to publish that, but now you know (don’t tell her). She was the daughter of Lt Col Phillip Raign USAF and Stephanie Raign born in Suffolk County, England (but she was the all-American girl!).
At the age of 6 months, Resa returned to the States on the ocean liner S.S. United States arriving in New York, cruising past the Statue of Liberty and greeting her grandparents. As an Air Force Brat (she was a brat in more ways than one), changing schools, meeting new friends and sharing new experiences taught her to be her vibrant, strong willed and independent self.
Now the good stuff. Resa was a woman of many talents (we can’t say all of them here), but just to name a few she loved adventure whether it was scuba diving, backpacking or rock-climbing. She was a passionate crafter, she could craft anything out of duct tape and twine. Throw in a paper clip and you have a masterpiece. She was an avid sewer too – she never met a sewing machine she couldn't master.
Resa loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved, I mean LOVED to laugh and have a good time. She loved and cherished her daughter Riley (that’s me)! She loved her dogs (but they can’t type) - nothing came between Resa, Riley, Sophie and Marley.. and if you tried.. well I don't know anyone who tried. She loved and respected her parents for always teaching her to be her best self! She loved her friends whether they were new friends or old (especially if they were older than her). Once you got into Resa's heart you were there forever. Resa always said laughter is the best medicine, unless you have cancer where chemo seems to be more effective.
Now the sad part. Resa left us after a long hard fight with cancer. Her mind was still racing but her body just couldn't keep up. She offered this world so much and was taken way too soon. We know that Resa will always be with us in spirit and she leaves a huge hole that will never be filled. We will do our best to live up to the standard she set - living life to the fullest. Thank you Resa - for everything. We love you long time.
Resa, as she was affectionately known, is survived by her daughter Riley, her father Phillip, her brothers Michael, Jerry (Kathy) and Donald Raign as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dogs.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023. The service will be Live Streamed.
The family request for all who attend please wear bright colors to honor Resa.
Send flowers or if you prefer make a donation to the Street Dog Project of Dallas OR adopt a dog while you are at it (Any of these would make Resa smile). https://www.thestreetdogproject.org/donate

Felina Nicolas Bunales
June 1, 1931 - October 25, 2020
Felina Nicolas Bunales of Plano, Texas joined our creator on October 25, 2020 with her loved ones by her side. She was born in Manila, Philippines on June 1, 1931.
Felina earned her degree in Education at the University of the East in the Philippines. The steppingstone to her venture was her first job at the American Undergarment Manufacturing. A great concept she took seriously that inspired her to later take a vocational course in sewing at E. Rodriguez Institute. All of these turns of events prompted her to start her own business in 1975, Bunales Garment Manufacturing, which is still in existence to this day. She was a woman with conviction, motivated and driven to make the business flourish, mainly inspired by her ultimate dream to provide her children a bright future. In tandem with our Dad and older siblings, this humble venture will remain her legacy.
In 1988, she migrated to the United States and landed a job as a pattern designer for Olga Warnaco. She retired after 17 years and dedicated her life to her husband and children, traveling and building memories. She was a woman with an exceptionally big heart with the tendency to support you all the way no matter what. She was a pillar of the family, our source of strength and comfort when times were tough. She was a mother to all, intrinsically had the right words to say in any predicament or challenges that came our way. Kindness was second nature to her, selfless, stops at nothing to make things better for everyone, a symbol of hope and unshaken faith in the Lord, but most of all, an exemplary mother and grandmother to all of us. The unconditional love, care and sacrifices she unselfishly endured are relics that will live on to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and to many whom she had touched their lives. It is undeniably difficult to cope life without her, but we will continue to live by her words of wisdom as she will remain in our hearts, forever.
She was a loving and dedicated wife to the late, Alfonso Bunales; an affectionate mother to Boy and Helen, Tes and Wennie, Arlene and Alex, Ruel and Celia, Dennis and Doralyn, and Cheryl and Pchi; a doting grandmother to Tater and Kat, Tatum and Clara, Al, Darlene and Marvin, Christian, Nicole and AJ and Margaux; a remarkable great-grandmother to Kirsten and Joshua; and a caring and loving sister, aunt and wonderful friend. She was “Mommy B” to all her children’s friends and “Fely” to her friends. She was a vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others - warm, compassionate, generous and a proud and dignified woman who had a passion for life.

Selenia Rosario Colón
February 22, 1935 - October 27, 2020
On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, Selenia Rosario Colón (Mamy) passed away in Plano, TX at the age of 85. Leukemia and pneumonia won the battle, but with her faith, Jesus won the war. She was born on Feb. 22, 1935 in Manatí, Puerto Rico to Ricardo Rosario Ponce and Elena Colón Gonzalez (both deceased), and is preceded by her siblings Mercy (whom she considered her second mother), Abraham (whom she considered her second father), Gilberto (of whose accomplishments she boasted), and Fernandito (her “baby” brother who passed away too young), and by her son Carlito (whose presence she felt daily). Selenia is survived by her daughter Grisenia Matos, and son-in-law Charles Barry, and Zahira Plemons, and son-in-law Ralph Plemons, and by her son Rick Matos, and daughter-in-law Karla Matos, and her grandchildren Lili Harrison, Emily Matos, Nick Matos, Nathaniel Plemons, and Joshua Plemons.
Mamy was a caring person who put the needs of her family and others before hers. In raising her children, she practiced fairness and firmness of character, while still appreciating their differences, but most importantly she provided unconditional love from the depths of her heart. She planted the seed of faith in their hearts, a seed which continues to bear fruit. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride, whom she often referred to as the angels around her. She was everyone's mom and the "adopted" grandmother for others.
Often referred to as a sweet lady, Mamy made friends easily wherever she went. It was important to her to make those around her feel important and valued. She was also a little bit of a "pistol" and shot back when you least expected it, often times causing people to fall off their chairs in laughter.
She truly believed that making a difference in society was one of the most important things each of us was made to do. So, she had several careers and performed charitable work, often giving more than she had to spare. After earning a bachelor's degree in nutrition, she began her career as a physics teacher and earned the Teacher of the Year award for the Science Department in the Puerto Rico School District. She worked as a dietician in Amarillo, TX to help the ill recuperate and as a Realtor in Dallas, TX to help families finds “homes”, not just houses. Ultimately, she managed two learning centers for low-income children. One of her greatest joys was helping orphaned children while she worked at the Buckner Family Center.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, and singing in the church choir, all of which have been passed along in one form or another throughout the family tree. Mamy will be greatly missed.

After high school, she moved to Seattle, WA, where she earned a Bachelor of Art in Political Science from University of Seattle. After graduation, she became a legal secretary and worked in immigration law. Following that, she worked as a paralegal for various firms.
Carrie’s love for soccer started at a young age, playing from early school years into high school. After moving to Seattle, she played in an adult league. She became a Seattle Sounders fan through and through, and even co-founded the group Pride of the Sound.
After a couple years of treatment for Gastroparesis, Carrie moved to California seeking more advanced medical care. She fought a very tough battle with Gastroparesis, which even in the darker days never let it get her down. In the Los Angeles area, she worked as a paralegal and senior contract administrator.
As her friends know, Carrie was one of a kind. There was no one like her, and there never will be. She marched to the beat of her own drum. Those who knew her were touched by the joy she brought to them, whether through a comforting word or challenging thought. We will miss her fun sense of humor she inherited from Grandma Coleman, her bright smile, and her kind words of encouragement to everyone. She had many friends that she cherished and spread love everywhere she went. Her smile is undoubtedly left on the hearts of all those who knew her.
Although she never had children, she was a wonderful aunt to her two most favorite people, Coleman and Kaelyn Sanchez. Mary Alice Cox Baker
February 27, 1922 - August 2, 2020
Mary was born on February 27, 1922 in Groesbeck, Texas to parents Melvin L. and Rufie Ann (Barker) Cox. The tribute below titled "The Texas Rose" was written by her son, Fr. Bruce Bradley:
My mother was a Texas rose. You saw beauty and even softness in her form. You saw grace and elegance in her movement. You could sense a pleasant, but subtle fragrance in her personality. Like the rose which survives the wet and dry, and the hot and cold of life, you could feel strength in the stem of her being, which survived even times of difficulty. Sometimes as with the thorn of a rose, you could even experience the sharp prick of her opinions and determination.
She was essentially Texan. She was born on an oil tank farm which her father managed. The place was near the historic Parker settlement where Cynthia Ann Parker was reared whose life with the Comanche became a Texas legend. The weather the day mother was born was typically and unpredictable Texan. She was born at home during a sudden late February ice storm.
As a younger woman she volunteered as an officer in the Junior Women’s Club of Fort Worth, and kept in touch with a number of those women as the years passed. When she worked in offices the younger women would approach her for advice and support. I know this as they told me so.
She raised two sons and had substantial interaction with her step daughter and her many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her extended family of many cousins was dear to her. She continued to meet frequently with those of her father’s family.
Her talents were not only domestic, but also musical, social, administrative and highly organized. She spent many years working as an administrative assistant with Industrial Property Corporation. The owner was Mr. John Stemmons, a larger than life Texas personality, after whom the freeway is named. She was made a shareholder and member of the company. She spent many hours to help design and produce a pictorial history of that company for one of their major anniversaries.
Mother was very dedicated to her husband, Dr. James Keith Baker, who served our local community primarily in the development of Southern Methodist University during a career of several decades. When he was afflicted with Parkinson Disease she was at his side most every day, all day, until he passed from us.
She was a baptized person of Christian faith with an innate sense of the providence of God.
The untimely death of her father, her elder son and other relatives was a difficult thing for her to bear. However, if she happened along a little baby, or small animal, her demeanor became joyful. She could also be a supportive listener with a good sense of humor, and great deal of common sense. She was in every season of her life a Texas rose, both beautiful and strong.
Mary passed from this life to her Heavenly home on August 2, 2020, at the age of 98 and was predeceased by her father Melvin Cox and mother Rufie Barker Cox, her late husband Dr. James Keith Baker, her son Bob Bradley, her brother Hal Cox and her sister Charleta Cox Adair.
She is survived by her son the Rev. Bruce Bradley of Plano, Texas and her stepdaughter Ann Baker Barber of Parker, Texas, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of cousins and extended family.
Due to Covid-19 limitations, a memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be announced at a future date.
If desired, memorial gifts may be made to the organization of your choice.

Vivian Katherine Szutenbach Rosini
February 26, 1944 - July 16, 2020
The Lord called Vivian home on July 16, 2020. What an exceptional woman, wife, and mother she was. To know Vivian was to love her. Her bright smile and infectious positive attitude affected everyone who knew her. Vivian was born on February 26, 1944 in Chicago, IL. She was the oldest of 9 children. She married Dennis Rosini in 1963 after meeting each other at the University of Florida. They were married for 56 years. Her proudest achievements were her four children David, Greg, Denise, and Doug, along with her nine grandchildren. They were her true joy and inspiration.
Although Vivian lived with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for 43 years and in the end she was bedridden, MS never defined her. She is our light and angel. May she forever dance with the Lord.

Diane Arredondo Velez
February 19, 1952 - July 15, 2020
Diane Arredondo Velez was born February 19, 1952 in Dallas, TX, to Candelario Arredondo and Chonita Orozco Arredondo Vega. She was the 2 nd oldest of 5 children. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Crozier Tech High School, in downtown Dallas. She met the love of her life, Frank Velez Jr., and they were married on February 6, 1970. They were happily married for 50 years, recently celebrating their special Golden Anniversary.
Together, they welcomed and raised 3 beautiful children. Raising Frankie, Kimberly, and Kristina was the greatest joy of her life. She never missed their school activities, soccer games, cheerleading competitions, well, you name it and she was there. She instilled in them a love of travel, the importance of an education, but most importantly the value of friendship and commitment to FAMILY. She was the most loving, supportive, and unselfish mom.
Diane is also known for her stellar work ethic, having multiple careers. First, as a Senior Systems Analyst for the United States Bankruptcy Court where she worked for 25 years. After retiring from the US Government, she pursued her lifelong dream of earning a college degree and graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor’s degree in Literary Studies and began her teaching career. After retiring from Rowlett High School, where she worked alongside her daughter, Kimberly, helping ESL students for 15 years and even winning teacher of the year, she became a realtor. This she did for “fun” but, you could often find her answering clients’ phone calls and always working to find them that perfect home.
The birth of each grandchild brought a deeper love to her life, and she cherished all 8 of them differently with her whole heart. She was a devoted, wonderful Grandma/Yaya attending all school, cheerleading, track events, soccer, football, volleyball, and basketball games. She was always there. Her love for her grandchildren is never-ending. She welcomed everyone into her family, never knew a stranger, and had a special love for her mom, sisters, brothers, best friends, nieces and nephews, her in-laws, her Godchildren, her children’s friends, and her cousins.
She is preceded in death, by her loving mom Chonita, her step-father Salvador Vega, her beloved sister Irene Jimenez, and brother Candelario Arredondo, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank Velez Jr.; son Frank Velez III and his wife Cristina; daughter Kimberly Ramsey and her husband Jeff; daughter Kristina Tafalla and her husband David; 8 grandchildren, Frank Velez IV, Joshua Ramsey, Jesse Velez, Jonah Ramsey, Kenna Ramsey, Isabel Velez, Roman Tafalla, and Katerina Tafalla; sister MaryLou Martinez and her husband Henry; brother David Arredondo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, Yaya, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. We will all miss her immensely.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options. The recitation of the rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Mary Martha Asmar
Mom was born on November 27th, 1952 in Bethesda, Maryland to Allen Thompson and Marian (Bell) Thompson. Mom grew up within a bustling family of seven siblings. She took great pride in her family’s legacy and was always joyful in sharing all aspects of her youth. From growing up in Dallas, Texas as a loving young daughter to Oma (Marian) to moving to the Houston, Texas area to witness first hand Opa’s (Allen) involvement in our nation’s endeavor to journey to the moon.
Mom always had a big heart and a passion for caring for others. This compassion influenced her decision to take on nursing as her profession. In the early 1980s, she took her profession to Saudi Arabia to work with a medical organization that provided pregnancy and newborn care to underserved parts of the country. Serving in that part of the world likely led to her deep understanding and knowledge of other cultures and traditions. In 1984, she took a vacation to Jerusalem to see the Holy Land. She would end up meeting Dad (Allen Asmar) and marrying him after a few months of constant companionship.
After the marriage was sealed, Mom returned to the United States and gave birth to her first child, Layla, in February of 1985. As a young parent, she continued working until 1989 when her second child, Adam, was born, Not long after that, she put a pause on her compassion of helping others in the medical world to dedicate 100% of her time in raising her two children.
When Mom and Dad parted ways in 2002, she decided to continue her medical education and complete her degree in invasive cardiovascular technology. As an adult returning to a profession after 18 years of homemaking, she feverishly worked hard on her studies whilst simultaneously taking care of her terminally ill mother. Upon graduating the top of her class in 2006, Mom spent time in South Carolina briefly working in her new field before returning back to her hometown of Houston, Texas to be closer to her family. After her son was married in 2011, she headed back to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to continue her career as a nurse and be even closer to family. Her last professional job was that of an on site nurse at Flower Mound Assisted Living. Mom described it as the best job she ever had until she retired in 2016. Her nursing skills touched many lives -- from that of newborn infants to caring for those at the end of their lives.
Mom enjoyed the last few years of her life in Dripping Springs, Texas, where among other things, she enjoyed her retirement maintaining her patio garden, watching for deer in the farm pastures outside of her home and becoming a modern 21st century news junkie.
Mom is survived by her daughter Layla Asmar, son Adam Asmar and his wife Angham Asmar, her brothers Bud and Bill Thompson, her sisters Sister Ann Frances, Barbara (Thompson) Hale and Emily (Thompson) Dzurisin as well as her unborn granddaughter. We find comfort in knowing that her soul has returned to God where she joins Opa and Oma, her loving brother, Peter, and her beloved Golden Retriever, Oliver.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on August 1 at 2:00 p.m., celebrated by Rev. Leon Duesman.

Mark Joseph Haley
September 10, 1964 - June 10, 2020
Mark Joseph Haley was born in Boston, MA. Sept 10, 1964, but the family relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1969. Mark passed away at T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center in Dallas on June 10, 2020.
Mark was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor the day after he graduated from Plano Senior High in 1983. He was a photographer for the school paper and loved photography. Unfortunately, the surgery and radiation damage stole his ability to take photographs anymore. He struggled over the next 37 years from the effects of both the tumor and the radiation treatments on both his body and spirit.
Through it all, he maintained his sense of humor, and you could always count on him to cheer you up with funny jokes or world-class pranks. When he could no longer take pictures, he decided to take up clowning, balloon making, and magic acts. He loved bringing joy to people everywhere, especially children, and often made balloons for birthday parties and then for his friends at McKinney Direct Care Services where he spent the last 2.5 years of his life. We will all miss his non-stop stories and antics.
Mark was staunchly protective of his family, especially his sisters, even though he also tormented them. He was large in life being 6'3", but he had a generous and loving heart. Our family was truly blessed to have him around as long as we did. He had a very hard life, but he embodies the saying, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith".
Mark is survived by his parents, Dick and Peggy Haley, his older brother, Rich, his older sister Laura (Joe) Barrett, his younger sisters Joanne (Gary) Lawton, and Susan (David) Kassen, as well as 5 nieces and nephews.

Gerardo (Jerry) Rodriguez
Gerardo (Jerry) Rodriguez, 58, passed away peacefully at his home in Frisco, Texas on Friday, March 27, 2020. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Renee, and his best buddy, son Christopher.
Jerry was born in Houston, Texas to Olivia and Gilberto Rodriguez, Sr. He received most of his early education in Houston, but also some elementary education in Mexico. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1979, and afterwards pursued his interest in engineering, earning his degree from the University of Houston.
uring his more than thirty years in the world of engineering, Jerry left his signature on numerous projects spanning states and countries, including professional buildings, hospitals, museums, restaurants, hotels and entertainment centers. Some memorable projects, each with a special significance to Jerry, included the Sam Houston Race Park, Texas Children’s Hospital, UCLA Medical, Getty Villa Museum and the George H. Bush Presidential Library. Jerry was a long-time and loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, so he was excited to have had “The Star” as one of his many engineering projects.
To every social gathering with family, friends or even acquaintances, Jerry added his expertise, not only as a sports enthusiast, but also as a wine, beer and food aficionado. He was a devotee of all food channels – he was such a “foodie”. Jerry’s quiet and humble Catholic faith brought opportunities for him to engage in activities and behavior that displayed his determination to live the life the Lord would want. His participation as a Knight of Columbus was an example of how he contributed to so many. When a suggestion to comfort, celebrate, or spoil was made, Jerry would seldom admit to being the instigator, but his love and kindness was felt by everyone who knew him.
Jerry’s love for his wife Renee was obvious in so many ways, but none more than the way he adopted the Primary Immunodeficiency (PI) community as his own. Through her journey with rare, chronic illness Jerry was a light that shined, not only in supporting his wife, but many others through his attendance at community events, walks, and simply by his support of her advocacy. Jerry was an example to all who are supporting a loved one living with chronic illness, and his example gave many, hope.
Jerry’s family would like to thank everyone who offered support, comfort and love in his journey with salivary gland cancer. Your culinary treats, cards, emails and calls showed the encouragement and concern that helped to surround Jerry with light and love when he needed it most.
Our beloved Jerry is survived by his wife, Yvonne Renee Rodriguez, son Christopher Rodriguez, parents Gilberto Sr. and Olivia Rodriguez, brother and sister-in-law Gilberto Jr. and Gloria Rodriguez, in-laws Elizabeth Martinez and Eusebio and Susan Benavidez, Joseph and Lorraine Benavidez, Robert Benavidez and partner Diana Flores, Susana and Greg Voigt, nieces and nephews: Danielle (Rodriguez) and Matthew Clark, Eric Rodriguez and partner Sarah Long, Jasmine Benavidez, Garrett Benavidez, Savanna Voigt, and Annabelle Voigt. He is mourned by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, faithful friends and co-workers.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. with internment in the Seton Columbarium after the Funeral Mass.

Bob also was very fond of card play, teaching his children the Art of Poker and his granddaughter, Dylan, Rummy and War. In NJ, it was trips to Atlantic City; once moving to Texas, it was trips to Shreveport and in later years, trips to Oklahoma. At times, these were small family fun vacations with Josephine, Brian, Donna, Michael, Erica, Angela-Rose and Alicia, and even Dylan Marie in accompaniment once.
When driving to Oklahoma became too much for Bob to endure on his own, his dear friend, who was more like a family member, Bob Terzo, would happily drive him on an excursion to Durant. Bob always enjoyed having guests at his home, providing meals with enough food to feed the entire neighborhood. Serving wine and cocktails was his specialty and he greatly cherished when family would come to town to visit, no matter how long they would stay, his door was always open.
He was a gracious man and will be missed by many. We are thankful that he has gone home to rejoice in the Lord’s Salvation with his family and friends. We Pray his Soul may rest in peace.
The family will greet friends at a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75023. John D Healy
August 03, 1941 - February 23, 2020
John Daniel Healy was born August 3, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to parents John and Bridget (Mc Donald) Healy.
John Daniel Healy: equal parts Irish, New Yorker, and Texan.
John Daniel, son of Irish immigrants John and Bridget Healy, grew up with his seven siblings in Brooklyn, N.Y. His childhood in New York laid the foundation for his grit and determination, but also the importance of family. While working in Manhattan, John met Margaret Ann “Peggy” Healy. They’d take the subway across town – back and forth between Brooklyn and the Bronx – during their courtship. They married in the Bronx on Nov. 6, 1965.
While they were engaged, John was drafted to the U.S. Army. Shortly after their wedding, the two moved to Fort Jackson, then months later, he was deployed to Vietnam. Soon thereafter, Peggy gave birth to their first son, John Stephen. Throughout his life, John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, but even more so recently as he shared that pride with John Stephen, who serves in the U.S. Army Reserves today. Three years later, their second son, Kenneth, arrived. With his birth, John and Peggy decided life in fast-paced New York City wasn’t ideal for their young family. During this time, John began his career with National Cash Register (NCR). They would move to New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, and then a few years later, landed in Dayton, Ohio.
Though he was proud of his Irish heritage and New York roots, John always had a little cowboy in him. In his teen years, he worked at Prospect Park in Brooklyn tending to the horses.
So it was almost fate when John and Peggy moved their family once again, this time to Plano, Texas, in 1986. This is where John could let his inner cowboy shine. Those days of riding horses in Prospect Park fit quite nicely with his new collection of Stetson hats and cowboy boots.
In Texas, John continued his career with NCR as a Data Center Manager before retiring after 38 years with the company.
Retirement suited John nicely. He was an active parishioner with the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. At home, he enjoyed sitting on his covered patio next to his lovely wife, admiring their beautiful backyard pool. A hot Texas day would call for a swim in the pool, a reminder of his high school swim team days.
On weekends, John would head to the local soccer fields, where he served for more than 30 years as a referee with the Plano Youth Soccer Association.
Perhaps what made retirement even sweeter, though, was watching his grandchildren grow. John took great pride in his grandkids. His four grandchildren were his pride and joy in his later years. He loved to celebrate and brag about their latest accomplishments. Even more so, he loved playing with them in the pool, beating them in poker, playing crash cars, and using his quick wit to keep the kids giggling, even as teenagers. What stands out most about John, though, was his compassion for others. He provided for extended family, always opened his home to family and friends, and had a knack for making people feel special.
John is survived by his wife of 54 years Margaret Ann Healy (Peggy); sons John Stephen Healy and his wife Diana, Kenneth Healy and his wife Laura; grandchildren John Mitchell Healy, Brendan, Ryan and Kelsey Healy; siblings Lily Renninger and her husband Jack, Eileen Bugiada, Kay Coffey and her husband Danny; brother in law Bill Mostkiewcz and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Edward Healy, sisters Ann McTiernan and her husband Jimmy, Ronnie Andrews and her husband Carl, Maureen Mostkiewcz and bother-in law: Joe Bugiada.

While home for summer break during her enrollment at St. Mary's, she met Robert E. (Bob) Johnson from Mason City, IA. The two were married in 1951 and lived in Mason City until July of 1971 when Bob's job took them to Fort Worth, TX. Pat was very supportive of Bob's corporate positions with Lennox Industries as his role moved them several times throughout his career to Atlanta, GA; Plano, TX; and Norwalk, OH. After retirement Pat and Bob settled back in Plano with retirement homes and many friends in golfing communities in Hot Springs Village, AR; and Fort Meyers, FL.
