St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is truly a Catholic Community. We not only learn about the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church, we strive to live them. When Seton was founded, many of the parishioners were transplants from around the country. Here in Plano, the rapidly growing suburb of Dallas, it was rare to meet a native Texan. With extended family often living far away in another state, Seton became our support system, celebrating our joys, assisting us when we needed a helping hand, comforting us in our sorrow. Below are stories of some of our current parishioners; some are founding members, some came more recently. They all have one thing in common, they have found a home at Seton through becoming actively involved in their faith and in their community. We hope you find their stories inspirational and will be encouraged that you too can be a Soul of Seton.

Denise and John , along with their three children, strive to live a life of prayer and service, looking at each step on the way, little or big, is an opportunity to show and model Christian values. Both serve as catechists and have been involved in many other ministries. Denise is also very involved with the Fully Inclusive Special Needs program and is the creator of the "My Step To" Guides for Mass, the Rosary, and Confession.Read More -

"There are several verses in the Bible that I truly love and inspire me. They are: Matthew 25:40 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me' and Joshua 24:15' as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord'." These verses, along with Denny's upbringing have made him a champion for the poor and downtrodden. I had never been exposed much to Catholicism but found the RCIA process an awesome program and it was what mainly convinced me to become a Catholic." "When school started the first fall after we moved here [12 years ago], I was at the bus stop when my neighbor said that her son would not be able to attend faith formation that year if they couldn’t find two people to teach his 5th grade class. For some reason (now I’m 100% positive it was the Holy Spirit), I offered to help her teach.
